After reading ‘On the Shortness of Life’ by Lucius Annaeus Seneca it made me wonder, ‘Have humans changed since then?

It’s almost been 2,000 years since Seneca was alive yet the material he presents in his books suggests that fundamentally humans are the same as we were almost 2,000 years ago. Things around us have definitely changed. Technology has changed, so I suppose we have become more resourceful and inventive. But there are still lazy, violent, rude, and careless people. Luckily there are also people who strive for more and try with all their might to make the world a better place. But will that be enough to have a better future? Have humans changed as a whole?

Have Humans Changed? Sometimes I wonder if what I’m doing with the content on BookMattic makes any difference.

After reading Seneca I keep on asking myself if what I’m doing with time here on BookMattic and all the other social media platforms is actually going to have an effect on the world. Sometimes I doubt it will but I don’t want to give up on you. I don’t want to give up on me. And I definitely don’t want to give up on the world.

Is still hope for a better future?

I completely believe there is hope for a better future as long as we stand together in helping ourselves and others develop themselves in a positive way. Doing something is much better than doing nothing at all. If you ask me have humans changed then I will say I have hope for our future, our kids’ future. I believe we will be able to change the world one small step at a time.

It may take generations or even a millennia before we see humanity’s complete enlightenment. I will be proud to say that I had my hand in that change. Will you?
