Grandpa’s Fortune Fables Teaches Your Kids How to Invest

Book Category: Investing, Parenting

Grandpa’s Fortune Fables is an overarching story about Boris, the bully, and Gail, the dorky girl as Boris calls her, becoming close friends. Gail genuinely wants to help Boris become a better person. She ends up teaching him about money through the fun stories her Grandpa has told her. Most of the stories feature the lessons her Grandpa learned about money when he was much younger and not wealthy. The lessons are all about saving, investing, building a business and growing it, and even sharing your money. There are many enjoyable metaphors that make it easier to remember the lessons. The book teaches the readers about The Three Rules of Wealth.
What I enjoyed about Grandpa’s Fortune Fables
My five-year-old daughter truly enjoyed reading this book with me. It’s one that I will read to her again as she gets older. The sad thing is there is no class in school that teaches kids about the value of investing and building a business as well as the generosity of giving. If I can teach her at least the basics of managing money well, then she will be off to a much better start in her life as an adult than I was.
I think Grandpa’s Fortune Fables is a valuable book for any child or parent to have on their bookshelf. Even as an adult, you may learn something about how to grow your money that you didn’t know about before, and the great thing is that it is stated in such a simple way that surely you will not get lost in the complexities of some other books for adults about the same topic. Hope you enjoy it!
